Senecio sylvaticus, commonly known as woodland ragwort or heath groundsel, is an annual herb that grows up to 80 centimeters tall from a taproot. It has short, curly hairs and deeply lobed leaves up to 12 centimeters long. The inflorescence consists of a wide, spreading array of many flower heads with yellow disc florets and tiny yellow ray florets. It is native to Eurasia and has been introduced to various regions, including North America.
