Crepis capillaris, commonly known as smooth hawksbeard, is a low-growing annual plant native to Europe. It is often found in disturbed ground and open habitats such as thin grassland, lawns, spoil heaps, rocky banks, and roadsides. The plant has trailing or erect stems and sometimes forms a rosette of leaves. It produces numerous small flower heads with yellow ray florets but no disc florets.
