Scandosorbus intermedia, commonly known as the Swedish whitebeam, is a medium-sized deciduous tree native to northern Europe. It grows to heights of 10–20 meters with a stout trunk and grey bark. The leaves are green above and densely hairy beneath, with four to seven oval lobes on each side. The tree produces white flowers in late spring and orange-red to red fruits that mature in mid-autumn. It is a hybrid species, resulting from the cross between Sorbus aucuparia, Torminalis glaberrima, and either Aria edulis or a close relative.
