An evergreen coniferous tree native to Eurasia, recognizable by its blue-green leaves and orange-red bark. It can grow up to 45 meters tall and has a distinctive shape with a long, bare trunk topped by rounded or flat-topped foliage. The tree's needles are typically 2.5 to 5 centimeters long and arranged in fascicles of two, with a lifespan of up to nine years. The cones are initially red, turning green and then yellow-brown at maturity.
